I have been searching for what is Spirulina ? What is it benefit ?

I managed to surf web and found this expensive brand Spirulina. The brand is "RED SUN".

Damed man, Is so expensive. Supposedly one if the most powerful health "food" available out there. From what I know, they claim that Spirulina is a complete food with nearly call the necessary minerals and vitamins for life.

Well, I am convince of the good benefit but one thing it hold me back is the pricing. It is super expensive.

For just about 250g, spirulina power cost about $100. I am not kidding you, it is that expensive.

From what I read, Spirulina is easy to grow and harvest. Everything in Singapore is expensive. We are suppose to consume 250mg of Spirulina per day. Due to cost issues, I am consuming the recommended dosages.

Fatty liver on the rise in young Singaporeans

Once considered a middle-aged disease and associated with excessive alcohol drinking, fatty liver disease is now affecting more young people who drink little or no alcohol.

"The incidence of fatty liver in Singapore is increasing just like in most parts of the developed world. Many of the relatively young people whom I treat for gallstone disease also have fatty liver," says Pierce Chow, senior consultant at the Department of General Surgery of Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore.

The good news is a simple fatty liver condition is reversible in most cases.

However, if it is not managed properly, it can lead to a more serious liver disease called non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) where the fatty liver becomes inflamed.
NASH may progress to permanent scarring and hardening of the liver, a condition called liver cirrhosis. People with liver cirrhosis have a higher risk of liver cancer.

Symptoms of fatty liver disease
Early non-alcoholic fatty liver disease usually shows no symptoms. However, you may experience the following:

Tiredness
Bloatedness
Loss of appetite
Pain in the right upper abdomen

Late symptoms relate to the complications of liver cirrhosis and include nausea, jaundice, swollen abdomen and poor concentration. A fatty liver also carries a higher risk of liver failure, should surgery of the liver be required, mentions Chow.

What causes fatty liver disease?
A fatty liver is an abnormal accumulation of fats in the liver cells.
Non-alcoholic fatty liver is closely linked to obesity, diabetes and the metabolic syndrome, conditions which are also on the rise. Studies have shown that 80 per cent of obese people and 70 per cent of people with diabetes have fatty liver disease.

High cholesterol and high blood pressure are also correlated with fatty liver although fatty liver can be found among the young and thin with no high blood pressure.

Why do we need a healthy liver?
The liver, located at the right upper abdomen, is a key organ. It keeps the body in optimal health by performing metabolic and detoxifying functions.
A healthy liver regulates the amount of fat, protein and glucose in the blood. It processes nutrients from the intestines. It also removes toxins and drugs from the bloodstream.

Treatment of fatty liver disease

Steps to reverse a fatty liver

Cut down on carbohydrates.
Eliminate refined sugar, e.g no sugar in coffee.
Eat plenty of vegetables, whole grains, seeds and nuts, pulses and legumes.
Exercise at least five times a week. Each session should last at least 30 minutes. It can be any form of exercise but it should at least raise the pulse rate moderately.

Remember this CoverDerm Perfect Face Waterproof Make-up that I received for x'mas gift. Recently I've been using it because of my breakout from the Elianto Baked Face Powder.

Its a really thick cream that is a chore to blend BUT coverage is super duper thick. Its even thicker than the Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream. Its so thick that its so annoying to blend but I found a perfect solution to it. I mixed it with my Vichy Normatient anti-imperfection liquid foundation (which is so liquidfied) and using a stippling brush, you wouldn't think I had a major breakout on my entire face. No concealer was required too! Infact, powder was not even required but since oil control wasn't the best, I had to use a translucent powder to set the foundation for the entire day.

I really really like this foundation! My skin was not irritated by it during the course of my oral antibiotics to rid those damn breakouts.

You'll ask, why do I even bother putting on makeup when I'm breaking out? Well, the breakout was really bad. Disgustingly bad that I really had to cover it up. I didn't want to irritate it further with any other commercial products so I used this derm formulated foundation and I'm glad I did!

If you're looking for a full coverage foundation that does not irritate your face, you have to try this! Though alot of you might be annoyed by how thick it is and blending is a chore, but you'll adore the full coverage just like I do
